The project also includes the construction of two (2) major ConSpan-type culverts on Marineau Stream. Services rendered: topographic surveys, geotechnical study, preparation of plans and specifications, technical report and preliminary cost estimates. Hydraulic and hydrologic studies to develop storm, sanitary and waterworks master plans. For the stormwater portion: complete the Rivières-des-Prairies floodplain study based on the planning of future development phases, integration of the floodplain and Marineau Stream in the urban drainage network, evaluation of the stream’s storage capacity. Application for an authorization certificate (section 32) for the sewer and waterworks. Application for an authorization certificate (section 22) for works in the floodplain for Phase I of the new Villas-sur-Rive residential development (Saint-Dorothée). Services during construction work. Retention basin construction work and reprofiling of Paradis Creek including related works in the Val-des-Brises sector (Laval) (May 2002 to April 2004) Construction of an 8,300-m3 retention basin in an urbanized area which had to be integrated into a park. Reprofiling of Paradis Creek on a section extending over roughly 2 km with part of it located in a park and another part in an agricultural zone. Services rendered: Hydraulic and hydrologic studies to update and complete the entire study on the Paradis Creek basin based on the planning of the current and future development phases, integration of the creek in the urban drainage network, evaluation of the storage capacity of the creek and of the retention basins required for future developments. Retrieval of the Paradis Creek behaviour simulation files, updating of stormwater networks, study following a double drainage approach, determination of water levels for various recurrences, stormwater management for the entire creek’s watershed, preliminary design of works, study of various alternatives, technical support and other documents relating to the project. Topographic surveys, geotechnical study, preparation of plans and specifications, technical report and preliminary cost estimates. Design study review, Boudrias basin, 100th Avenue Sector – South of Saint-Martin Boulevard (Laval) (June 2002 to March 2003) Hydraulic and hydrologic studies project to develop storm and sanitary sewer master plans. Preparation of a wastewater evacuation master plan for the residential development’s main basins based on the available residual capacities of the existing neighbouring networks. Services rendered: Planning study, existing networks analysis, systemic analysis to identify the most advantageous solution (minimal cost, meeting of physical and environmental constraints), computer simulation of existing and proposed networks. Preliminary design study, Bergerac II Sector (Laval) (October 2001 to March 2003) Hydraulic and hydrologic studies to develop storm and sanitary sewer master plans. Hydraulic analyses of the Molson catchbasin combined sewer network (Borough of Saint-Léonard) (June 2001 to June 2002) Following flooding of some residential areas of the Borough of Saint-Léonard, a hydraulic behaviour analysis of the Molson catchbasin became necessary to identify certain interventions to ensure better protection against back-ups. Update of the combined sewer network plans for the entire territory of the Borough of Saint-Léonard in a georeferenced database including street profile, pipe diameter, pipe inverts, slopes, manholes and location of all inspected catchbasins with the help of a GPS. These data were used to create SWMM-type simulation files that were in turn used to model the combined sewer network for the entire borough. PCSWMM and DDSWMM specialized software was used. Services rendered: Update of the combined sewer network plans for the entire borough, hydraulic behaviour analysis of the Molson collector networks, simulations of the existing combined sewer network using computer models, recommendation of certain interventions to ensure better protection against back-ups. Preliminary design study, Centre-Nord Industrial Park (Laval) (November 1999 to May 2003) Hydraulic and hydrologic studies project to design storm and sanitary sewer networks for the sector in harmony with the new streets layout, and in relation to the Parizeau Creek and Champfleury II residential development. Services rendered: Preliminary design, determination of pipe dimensions, network behaviour analysis, study of various alternatives based on development phases, technical report and other documents relating to the project. Preliminary design study, 100th Avenue Sector – Cléroux Boulevard (Laval) (October 1999 to January 2001) Hydraulic and hydrologic studies to develop storm and sanitary sewer master plans. Drainage plan update Fabreville-West (Laval) (April 1999 to February 2000) Hydraulic and hydrologic studies project to review the drainage plan proposed in 1996 to develop the stormwater master plan. The study was completed taking into account the existing topography problem while trying to minimize the large embankments, particularly near sectors already constructed. Services rendered: Development of storm network behaviour simulation files, study following a double drainage approach for a portion of the area and conventional drainage for the remaining portion, simulations using PC-SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) and DD-SWMM (Double Drainage Storm Water Management Model) specialized software, stormwater management, preliminary design of works, study of various alternatives, determination of retention volumes and retention basin’s dimensions, technical report and other documents relating to the project. Sewer and waterworks infrastructure preliminary design study Leman-East Sector (Val-des-Brises) and review of the retention basin drainage concept (Laval) (1988 to August 2002) Hydraulic and hydrologic studies to develop the preliminary design of the sewer, waterworks, retention basin infrastructures in the Val-des-Brises sector. Analyses to determine the design parameters of the retention basin and the Paradis Creek intervention parameters. << previous page |
