Municipal infrastructures such as sanitary sewers, storm sewers, waterworks and preliminary works for roadways, paving and curbs along with the underground distribution lighting system for the construction of new streets.  The project also included the construction of a pumping station and retention basins.  Services rendered: Topographic surveys, preparation of plans and specifications, technical report and preliminary cost estimate, supervision during construction.     

Waterworks conduit rehabilitation work – Jacques-Cartier Park (National Capital Commission) (2003)

Municipal infrastructures including sanitary sewers, storm sewers, waterworks and preliminary works for roadways, paving and curbs along with the underground distribution lighting system for the construction of new streets between chemin St-Antoine and des Bois Avenue.  The project also included the construction of a sanitary sewer pumping station and two retention basins.  Services rendered: Topographic surveys, geotechnical study, preparation of plans and specifications, technical report, Schedule ”A“, preliminary cost estimate.    

Municipal services for the extension of des Gouverneurs Avenue and de l’Empereur, du Diplomate and du Monarque Streets (L-10389-D) (Laval) (2002)

Municipal infrastructures including sanitary sewers, storm sewers, waterworks and preliminary works for roadways, paving, sidewalks and curbs along with the underground distribution lighting system for the extension of existing streets in the Val-des-Brises residential development. Stormwater coming from these streets (major network) will be discharged into the Paradis Creek retention basin. Services rendered: Topographic surveys, preparation of plans and specifications, Schedule “A”, preliminary cost estimate, call for tenders.    

Municipal services on Ernest-Cormier, Maurice-Cullen Streets and Place Paul-Kane located in the Autoroute 25 Industrial Park (Laval) (2002)

Municipal infrastructures including sanitary sewers, storm sewers, waterworks as well as preliminary works for roadways, paving and curbs along with the underground distribution lighting system for the development of an industrial park.   This project included the reprofiling of a ditch along Autoroute 25, construction of a major drainage ditch and construction work near Lapinière Creek.  Services rendered: Topographic surveys, preparation of plans and specifications, Schedule “A”, preliminary cost estimate and supervision during construction.     


Municipal services on a section of a street located east of Pie-IX Boulevard and north of Paradis Creek (L-10370-D) (Laval) (2002)

Municipal infrastructures including sanitary sewers, storm sewers, waterworks as well as preliminary works for roadways, paving, sidewalks and curbs along with the underground distribution lighting system for the extension of existing streets in the Val-des-Brises residential development.  Stormwater coming from these streets (major network) will be discharged into the Paradis Creek retention basin.  Services rendered: Topographic surveys, preparation of plans and specifications, Schedule “A”, preliminary cost estimate.

Rehabilitation of a pumping station (Châteauguay) (January 1999 to May 2000)

Rehabilitation and increase in the capacity of a sewer pumping station with a new retention reservoir for a combined network management project (5.4 MGIPJ).  Services rendered: Surveys, preparation of plans and specifications, preliminary cost estimate and supervision during construction.    

Rehabilitation of two pumping stations – Cities of Rosemère and Lorraine (Régie intermunicipale d’assainissement) (May 1997 to December 2000)

Rehabilitation and increase in the capacity of two sewer pumping stations for the water sanitation program (total capacity 20.8 MGIPJ).  Services rendered: Surveys, preparation of plans and specifications, preliminary cost estimate and supervision during construction.    

Municipal infrastructure rehabilitation works on a section of Champagneur, Elwood, Pratt, Querbes, Rockland Avenues, St-Joseph, Stuart and Springgrove Boulevards and Manseau Lane (Borough of Outremont) (2003) 

Municipal infrastructure rehabilitation works including: replacement of oval sewer drain sections, waterworks and rehabilitation (complete or partial) of roadway, on several streets in the borough of Outremont.  Services rendered: Plans and specifications and supervision of works.    

Rehabilitation works on Talcy Avenue between Roche-sur-Yon Avenue and Châteauneuf Boulevard (Borough of Anjou) (2003)

Analysis, structural design and roadway rehabilitation.  Services rendered: Preparation of plans and specifications and complete supervision of works.    

Municipal infrastructures on de Fontainebleau Boulevard, de Rambouillet, de Roncolo and de Lourmarin Streets (Blainville) (May 2003 to January 2003)

The works, carried out on existing streets of the Fontainebleau residential development, included sanitary sewers, storm sewers, waterworks, drainage as well as preliminary roadways, paving, sidewalks and curbs along with underground distribution lighting system serving 155 new homes.  Stormwater coming from these streets will be discharged into a retention basin located on the Le Fontainebleau golf course. This project required close coordination with the Cooke & Huxman firm of landscape architects to ensure harmonious integration of the retention basin with the golf course.  Services rendered: Project design, preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical report and other documents relating to the project, preparation of the application for an authorization certificate for submission to the Ministère de l’Environnement, preparation of three (3) different tenders for sewers and waterworks, paving, curbs and underground distribution lighting system, services during construction.

Lepage Boulevard from Lapinière Boulevard to Grande-Allée Boulevard (Longueuil) (August 2003 – ongoing)

The main objective of this project was to provide services to a major commercial zone that includes Catania Business Park. This project included the design and the implementation of municipal services such as sanitary and storm sewers, waterworks, foundations, borders and pavement as well as public utilities and street lighting.  This project also included the design of a double storm drainage system to respect the 7 litre/second/hectare retention standard set by the City for this sector. The design of two (2) retention basins is also planned for this project.  Services rendered: Geotechnical study, soil characterization, archaeological study, topographic surveys, preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimate, technical report and other documents relating to the project, preparation of the application for an authorization certificate for submission to the Ministère de l’Environnement, supervision of works.   

Rehabilitation of various avenues (Maplewood, Dunlop, Outremont, Champagneur, Bloomfield, McEachran, Bernard and Perham) (Elmwood, Saint-Joseph Boulevard, Springgrove, Pratt, Querbes, Rockland and Stuart) (Borough of Outremont) (2002-2003)

Analysis, structural design and roadway rehabilitation.  Services rendered: Preparation of plans and specifications including complete supervision of works.    

Rehabilitation of Le Carrefour Boulevard, between Daniel-Johnson Boulevard and the Laurentian Autoroute (A-15) service road (Laval) (2002-2003)

Roadway rehabilitation works using two (2) methods: pulverisation and stabilisation of existing pavement, and foundation reconstruction including asphalting.  Services rendered: Plans and specifications and supervision of works.    

LeBreton Flats infrastructure and remediation project, Ottawa (National Capital Commission) (2001—ongoing)

The project’s main objective is the development of the LeBreton Flats located in the National Capital region.  The site was decontaminated in 2002 and is being converted into a dense urban area divided among residential, commercial and public buildings.  This development includes the construction of streets, a bridge and all public utilities.  Services rendered:  Environmental engineering services, impact assessment studies, transportation, municipal, structure, mechanical and electrical engineering, landscape architecture and urban planning, construction documentation and translation services, tender analysis, construction management, post-construction guarantee validation and review, geotechnical study, quality control and risk analysis.

Pôle Montarville Nord Phases I and II (Borough of Boucherville) (June 2001 to May 2003)
The project’s main objective was to provide services to a new commercial zone of major importance located at a strategic intersection of Boucherville (Autoroute 20 and De Montarville Boulevard). This project included the design and the implementation of municipal services as well as the widening of some roads.  The work consisted in the installation of water mains as well as sanitary and storm sewers. The project also included the design of a retention basin, the construction of underground ducts for public utilities, street lighting and the installation of synchronized traffic lights adaptable on demand (based on the installation of photoelectric sensitive cells making it possible to adjust the duration of the traffic lights to the number of cars and the length of the line of waiting cars on the Autoroute 20 exit lane).  Services rendered: Preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical report and other documents relating to the project, preparation of the application for an authorization certificate for submission to the Ministère de l’Environnement, supervision of work and services during construction.

Rehabilitation of various avenues (Borough of Lachine) (2001 to 2002)

Urban infrastructure rehabilitation on 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th and 16th Avenues.  Services rendered:  Design of plans and specifications for sewers, waterworks, drainage, preliminary roadways, sidewalks and curbs, pavement rehabilitation using various methods and supervision of works.

Roadway rehabilitation on various streets and boulevards (Dallier, des Galets, Jeanne-Lajoie, Lafrenaie, Robert, and Bélanger Streets, Viau Boulevard) (Borough of Saint-Léonard) (2001)

Preparation of plans and specifications and supervision of the roadway rehabilitation works using various methods.  Services rendered: Design of plans and specification for roadway rehabilitation works using various methods such as:  roadway pulverization, planing, foundation reconstruction, and supervision of works.    

Development of land # 239 Phase II (Saint-Constant) (May 2000 to May 2003)

The project consisted in the design and construction of municipal infrastructures as part of the development of Land # 239 Phase II, including minor/major type storm drainage (with design of a retention basin), sanitary sewer, waterworks, foundations, paving, sidewalks, curbs, and underground distribution decorative lighting system. The project also included the construction of a sanitary pumping station, as well as the development of a lighted bike path. This phase is part of a residential development of more than 600 homes that also included a second storm retention basin, two traffic lights, a second sanitary pumping station, a level crossing, a footbridge, as well as a bridge. Services rendered: Preparation of master plans, preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical report and other documents relating to the project, preparation of the application for an authorization certificate for submission to the Ministère de l’Environnement, preparation of tender documents, in-office and on-site services during construction.    

Extension of Monchamp Boulevard (St-Constant) (May 2000 to May 2003)

The project consisted in the design and construction of municipal infrastructures as part of the extension of Monchamp Boulevard, including minor/major type storm drainage, sanitary sewer, water main, foundations, paving, sidewalks, curbs, median, a bike path and underground distribution decorative lighting system. The project also included the construction of two (2) traffic lights, a level crossing and a bridge. Monchamp Boulevard is part of a residential development project involving more than 600 homes that also included a storm retention basin, a sanitary pumping station and a lighted bike path. Services rendered: Preparation of master plans, preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical report and other documents relating to the project, preparation of the application for an authorization certificate for submission to the Ministère de l’Environnement, preparation of tender documents, in-office and on-site services during construction.

Sewer, waterworks, underground ducts, lighting, excavation, granular sub-base, paving and sidewalks on Beaufort Avenue and extension of des Halles Avenue (Borough of Anjou) (2000 to 2002)
Complete municipal infrastructures including development of an intersection with traffic lights on de Beaufort Avenue, starting from Bélanger Street. Extension of des Halles Avenue, between Jean-Talon Street and Autoroute 40 service road. Services rendered: Plans and specifications, supervision of works.

Construction of Lamarre ditch (Chambly) (1998)

This project consisted in the construction of a ditch with a depth of 2 to 4.5 m including berms linking Kennedy Avenue’s agricultural zone to the l’Acadie River (length ± 2.5 km).  The construction of this ditch required the installation of three (3) concrete prefabricated reinforced culverts measuring 2.7 m x 6 m to permit the crossing of Fréchette Boulevard and Salaberry Avenue as well as an access road for Hydro-Québec (total length: ± 58 meters).  Services rendered: Preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical report and other documents relating to the project, preparation of the application for an authorization certificate for submission to the  Ministère l’Environnement, coordination with the various authorities involved: City, Quebec Transport Ministry (passage under Fréchette Boulevard), MENV and CPTAQ (ditch located in an agricultural zone), services and supervision during the construction.    

Construction of Jacques-Cartier Boulevard (Longueuil) (May 1995 to December 1996) 

This project consisted in the construction of Jacques-Cartier Boulevard, a major artery linking the boroughs of Vieux-Longueuil and Boucherville. The construction works on this boulevard also included the construction of a stormwater collector having a diameter of 1.8 metres and located at a depth of 10 metres, the construction of a concrete pedestrian tunnel (8 metres x 3 metres X 45 metres in length) linking 2 sections of “Le Parcours du Cerf ” golf course, as well as the landscaping of the entire project.  Of particular interest is the fact that a ConSpan-type concrete tunnel was used in this project, a first in this sector. DESSAU researched the use of this type of tunnel and supervised the design of the head and wing walls, including the integration of lighting and landscaping.  Services rendered: Preparation of plans and specifications, cost estimates, technical report and other documents relating to the project, preparation of the application for an authorization certificate for submission to the Ministère de l’Environnement, services and supervision during construction.
