Rehabilitation and road maintenance, Grenada

For several years now, Dessau has worked jointly with the Grenada government in carrying out technical feasibility studies with respect to road infrastructure improvements. The Grenadian government has since started rehabilitating its roads and bridges in order to ensure the safety of its local population and also to supply the tourism industry, in full bloom, better quality roads.

In the spring of 2003, plans and specifications are finalised and an international invitation to tender is sent for three distinct construction contracts. Thirteen bridges located on the island will be demolished and rebuilt. Furthermore, approximately twenty kilometres of roads will need to be rehabilitated. Dessau is mandated by the Grenadian government to ensure administrative management and technical supervision of the project
