Couche-Tard Distribution Centre, Laval

This project consisted in the construction of a new distribution centre of 11,200 m2 that will become a prototype for “Groupe Couche-Tard”.

The building covers 1,200 m2 of office space, distributed on two floors. It includes a 4,500 m2 refrigerator and freezer storage warehouse with 10 m head-way, and 5,500 m2 of dry storage surface.

An economical energy saving system was designed to recover the heat produced by the warehouse's refrigerating system and to redistribute in the rest of the building. Furthermore, a computerized stock management system and sophisticated video and infrared surveillance systems was implemented.   Numerous modifications were done along the way according to client requirements whose needs were established as the project was carried out.

Despite these adjustments, the project schedule and budget remained on target.
