Mini Hydroelectric Generating Stations (Phase II)

Construction of Mini Hydroelectyric Generating Stations (Phase II)
Dominican Republic

This project is part of the Dominican Republic’s hydroelectric development program, which includes the construction of mini hydroelectric generating stations and the installation of electrical transmission and distribution systems throughout the country. Phase II of this program involves building four mini hydroelectric generating stations and connecting them to the electrical grid.

These mini hydroelectric generating stations are rated from 1 MW to 10 MW for a total of 16 MW of additional capacity to be installed in Las Barías, Magueyal, Brazo Derecho and Hatillo.

These hydroelectric generating stations were built in EPCM (Engineering, Purchasing and Construction Management) mode.  In addition, Dessau structured the project financing, thereby providing its client with single window service.
