Agrandissement du centre de distribution de la SAQ    

The project involved the expansion of SAQ’s distribution centre located on des Futailles Street in Montreal. The expansion, over a 22 000 sq. m. area is adjacent to existing buildings.  Eighteen thousand square meters are to be used for storage on 10,3 meter high shelves, and 4 000 sq. m. for office space and for manoeuvring areas facing 26 loading dock doors. Furthermore, 5 000 sq. m. of the total surface area is designed to become a bottling area for the Maison des Futailles.

The project also includes construction of two mezzanines, one of 1 000 sq. m. for storage purposes (that can be expanded to 1 600 sq.m.) and supporting a live load of 10 kPa.  The other mezzanine is meant for office space covering a 1 400 sq.ft. surface, that can be expanded to 2 200 sq.ft.   Both mezzanines are linked with a 33-meter long walkway made of steel frames.
