Alexis-Nihon (Méga-Centre) inc. – Édifice place de la Cité – Superior energy performance (Hull) (June 2003): Completion of pre-project studies to demonstrate that it was possible to construct a building with a superior energy performance while respecting competitive economic criteria. A simulation demonstrated that the energy consumption of the proposed building must be 30% less than that of an identical building that merely respects the requirements of the Model National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings (MNECCB). The results indicated annual savings of more than $200,000.  Prizes and honours:

Montreal Central Laundry – Energy saving project (Montreal) (2002 – in progress): Ecoenergetic project by Dessau including: recovery of heat from dryers; modification of HVAC systems with heat collection, recovery of heat from combustion gases, air conditioning and transfer of heat to dryers; centralization of controls; efficient lighting; rate optimization.
